Schlock’s Podcast #11 – Storytelling, Moebius, The Shhh, 2000 Ancient Tombs – March 2012

There’s also plenty of music, from newly-formed indie duo The Shh (those slightly versed within the Maltese musical scene will recognise those behind it) and dark ambient outfit 2000 Ancient Tombs. We’re sure you’ll like them as much as we do. The late, great comics maestro Moebius gets a tribute as well – those not familiar with his oeuvre could do a lot worse than visiting Quenched Consciousness, an excellent blog dedicated to his work. And to close everything off (well, technically opening but who’s looking for the details?) there’s also the Schlock podcast mainstay, flash fiction from our vaults. Enjoy this latest podcast, and do let us know what you think on either the comments or through an iTunes review! Flash Fiction 00:54 – It’s Always Better in Your Head by Teodor Reljic Music 16:31 – Burning Love by The Shh 51:14 – The Diminishing Feats of the Queen of the Hollows by 2000 Ancient Tombs Features 03:55 – On Moebius by Marco Attard 08:04 – The Three Legs of Fiction by Terry Kidd 55:50 – Stories in Other Media by Annette Bowman Discussion 19:58 – Transmedia? Mike, Marco and special guest Jean Pierre Magro discuss the various ways stories are told nowadays, going beyond mere books or movies. Mentions of videogames, iPad apps, tie-in comic books and Betty Draper’s twitter ensue. Be sure to subscribe to Schlock’s podcast on iTunes. |
